The words “Powstanie pamietamy”, "Rememember the revolt" can be read on Warszawas streets today. The phrase is a tribute to bravery, and at the same time a reminder of the courage and strength that made the inhabitants revolt towards Hitlers military forces twice during the second world war. Now, sixty years down the line, the words on the streets and the house facades in Warszawa are a reminder of the power and uprising of the people. The brick patterned fabric I have used for this collection is also exceptional in its strength and durability.
